The early bird gets the worm.    

Not many agents would consider a worm much of a prize. But how about more deals, higher commissions, financial security, control over your life, and more time for your family and personal interests?   

I thought about beginning this series with a clever marketing idea or lead generation tool, but nothing works unless you do and those who start working first have a distinct competive advantage.   


I recently interviewed a young man who is the top producing agent in his company. He said to me, "You want to know why I'm doing more business than anyone else? Look around!" It was mid-morning and he was the only agent in the office.  

When super-coach Brian Buffini was a producing agent he made a habit of arriving at the office no later than 6 a.m. every Wednesday morning. That early start just one day a week gave him the opportunity to catch up on paperwork and the numerous administrative details that often consume our working hours.  If you want to jump-start your business, consider jump-starting your day. Be the first in the office and you'll likely be first and most-often to the closing table.
